TİKA Supports Young IT Specialists in the TRNC

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) provided equipment to the TRNC Young IT Specialists and Innovation Association to be used in the development of innovative software and applications.

Founded by young entrepreneurs who want to develop projects in the field of software and IT, the Young IT Specialists and Innovation Association aims to bring together and support young IT specialists in the TRNC.

With the materials and equipment it provided, TİKA aims to ensure that young people who come together within the association implement 4 projects on “smart house systems,” “mobile support for businesses,” “food ordering,” and “digital media applications” in the first stage.

Alkın Halitoğlu, President of the TRNC Young IT Specialists and Innovation Association, thanked TİKA for its contributions and stated that the center built within the association would be available for all young people in the country. Halitoğlu said, “We believe that there are very good ideas and plans in our country. We know that talented young people postpone their dreams due to various reasons. As the Young IT Specialists and Innovation Association, we aim to help these young people to put their projects and ideas into action, and to contribute to our country’s improvement in the field of information technology, thanks to TİKA’s support.”

The Association, which also plans workshops and training sessions in software development, aims to bring young people together to develop innovative software and applications, put their ideas into action, and start their businesses. All of these efforts will be improved and institutionalized with the R&D center model.
