TİKA's Erenler Sofrası is in Colombia

As part of the “Erenler Sofrası” Ramadan Program, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed 600 food packages in Colombia.

With the cooperation of TİKA and the Othman Bin Affan Mosque, food packages were distributed to 300 needy families, who have been facing financial difficulties due to COVID-19, in the city of Barranquilla and the surrounding areas.

Henry Herman Machado, one of the beneficiaries, said: “It was a great support. To be honest, things have been difficult due to the pandemic and other problems. Sometimes it's hard to find food.”

Isa García, Vice President and the member of the Executive Board of the Mosque, said: “I'd like to thank you for your cooperation in this important aid on behalf of the needy people in our city and our community. Your support has really been helpful and it has made us so happy to see the smile on the faces of the beneficiaries. May Allah bless your soul.”

In cooperation with the San Andrés Islamic Center, food packages were delivered to 400 needy families. The island of San Andrés has been going through reconstruction ever since the severe damage caused by Hurricane IOTA in late 2020.
