TİKA Renovated the Meeting Hall in the Prime Ministry of Iraq

The Legal Consultancy Meeting Hall at the General Secretariat of the Prime Ministry of Iraq, which was renovated and equipped by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), has been inaugurated.

The opening ceremony at the General Secretariat of the Prime Ministry building in Baghdad was attended by İbtisam Aziz, Head of the Protocol Department at the General Secretariat of the Prime Ministry; Mustafa Yazıcı, TİKA’s Baghdad Coordinator; Güçlü Kalafat, Undersecretary of the Embassy of Turkey in Baghdad; and representatives from the Legal Consultancy.

Having expressed his gratitude towards TİKA for the project in his speech, İbtisam Aziz, Head of the Protocol Department, said: “We're already aware of the nobility of TİKA and the Turkish products. We'll continue to collaborate with TİKA.”

In his speech at the inauguration, Güçlü Kalafat, First Undersecretary of the Embassy of Turkey in Baghdad, said: “TİKA is an institution that undertakes important tasks in reflecting our affection and friendship towards Iraq.” Having stated that TİKA had important projects in Iraq, Kalafat said that this meeting hall was also a manifestation of Turkey's affection towards the people of Iraq.

TİKA’s Baghdad Coordinator Yazıcı, on the other hand, stated that the Legal Consultancy meeting hall was Turkey’s gift for the Prime Ministry of Iraq and he recorded that they would continue their collaboration with the governmental organizations of Iraq.

Having also referred to TİKA's projects in Baghdad, Yazıcı said that they had completed the restoration of the Sheik Abdul Qadir Gilani Complex and that the work at the Imam al-Aʿzam Abu Halifa al-Nuʿman Complex was going at full throttle, and he recorded that they were planning to begin the restoration work within a month at the Prophet Daniel and Ottoman Military Officers' Martyrs Memorial in the Kirkuk Citadel.
