Türkiye Shares Its Experience in Technoparks and Innovation Technologies with Kyrgyzstan

Rahat Kerimbayeva, Director of the State Agency for Intellectual Property and Innovation of Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyzpatent), and the accompanying delegation paid a working visit to Türkiye with the support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).

Rahat Kerimbayeva, Director of the State Agency for Intellectual Property and Innovation of Kyrgyzstan (Kyrgyzpatent), and the accompanying delegation paid a working visit to Türkiye in order to hold meetings with the relevant institutions and organizations to receive a briefing on the current activities on entrepreneurship, patents, intellectual property, technoparks, and innovation and incubation centers in Türkiye, and to evaluate cooperation opportunities.

Rahat Kerimbayeva, Director of Kyrgyzpatent, stated that Kyrgyzpatent built the country’s first Technopark in Bishkek and that they wanted to increase the number of innovation centers in Kyrgyzstan with the support of TİKA and to benefit from Türkiye’s experience and improve cooperation in this field.

During the visit, which was organized by TİKA, Kerimbayeva had a meeting with TİKA’s President Serkan Kayalar. He noted that there were more than 2,200 schools in Kyrgyzstan, that they wanted to build innovation classrooms in these schools to support young people who are interested in technology, and that they were hoping to cooperate with TİKA in this field.

Kerimbayeva stated that they were happy to be in Türkiye. He said, “We are the children of the same Ancestors, and we are visiting our brothers and sisters. We feel as if we are visiting the house of our own brother or sister.” At the meeting, TİKA’s President Serkan Kayalar underlined that TİKA has implemented its most important projects in Kyrgyzstan since its establishment. He added that they were ready to implement new and original projects together and would support the development of young people in the fields of innovation and informatics.

TİKA, T3 Foundation, and Kyrgyzpatent will collaborate on the pilot implementation of the “Bilim Türkiye Education Program” in the science and technology workshops to be built in Kyrgyzstan-Türkiye Friendship High School, which was built by TİKA in Osh, Kyrgyzstan, and has a capacity of 1,400 students.

During their working visit to Türkiye, the delegation of Kyrgyzpatent also visited and had meetings with the Talent Acquisition and Organization Department in the Human Resources Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, the Directorate General for Copyright of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Türkiye, the Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises Development Organization of the Republic of Türkiye (KOSGEB), Teknopark Istanbul, and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation.
