Ramadan Program from TİKA in Bangladesh

As part of its Ramadan programs, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) distributed 1000 food parcels that contain basic foodstuff in Babuganj and Gournadi, two towns in the Barishal province of Bangladesh.

TİKA has already given food aid in Saidpur and Lalmonirhati;n the north of Bangladesh. Within the framework of its 2022 Ramadan programs, TİKA targeted, this time, Babuganj and Gournadi in the province of Barishal, one of the poorest regions in the country. Thus, it distributed 1.000 food parcels that contain basic foodstuff.

The mayors of Babuganj and Gournadi, several local administrators, public officers and journalists participated in the program. It was mentioned in the program that the bonds between the people in two countries are deep-rooted and the relations between them are increasingly improving. The administrators and locals said they are very happy with the food parcels and thanked the Republic of Türkiye and Turkish people for their help. 

TİKA has supported people in need with its food aid and iftar programs in Ramadan, and it will continue to sit down for iftar dinners in Bangladesh throughout Ramadan.
