Turkish Paper Marbling Was introduced In Zanzibar Through TİKA

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Tut Elimi Foundation and Assalam Community Foundation set up a Turkish paper marbling workshop in Tanzania.

The project was realized by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Turkish paper marbling workshop was organized with the cooperation of the Tut Elimi Foundation and Assalam Community Foundation to increase cultural interaction and cooperation between Türkiye and Tanzania.

Given by a Turkish paper marbling trainer, the 1-week training was attended by 40 participants.

The marbling paper sets were brought from Turkey. Thus, the participants had the opportunity to learn Turkish paper marbling and apply it themselves. They employed traditional Turkish motifs as well as African patterns in their work.

Hajra Jumanne, one of the participants, said she was very happy to be a part of such a nice program and thanked TİKA for its support.

The participants were given certificates at the end of the program.
