11 October 2022TÜBA Summer School 2022, Supported by TİKA, Has Been Completed
The Summer School on Basic Sciences and Requirements of Academic Life by The Union of National Academies of Sciences of the Turkic World (TDUBAB) was held by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) with the support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) in TÜBA’s Rabi Madrasa in Istanbul.
Master’s and PhD students and postdoctoral researchers attended TÜBA International Summer School. 24 scientists from Albania, Azerbaijan, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, and Türkiye attended thematic courses supported by major topics in science and academic research, such as creative publications, research techniques, scientific skepticism, critical approaches, academic integrity, and academic ethics. Academics from different universities in Türkiye taught courses in the 5-day Summer School.
“Our Summer School builds new bridges every year”
Prof. Muzaffer Şeker, President of TÜBA, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the program and reminded that TÜBA Summer School has been held with the theme of “International Law, Diplomacy, and Cooperation” since 2017. Şeker and many TÜBA members met with scientists from different universities and institutions in Türkiye who attended the Summer School. He said, “Our Summer School, which aims to contribute to cooperation between scientists and specialists from the Turkic world and sister and neighboring countries, builds new bridges and facilitates scientific collaboration every year. The strengthening of this cooperation is promising for all of us.”
The Summer School ended with the presentation of certificates to scholarship holders by Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Deputy Minister of Industry and Science and Technology of Türkiye.
