"Security, Stability and Cooperation Symposium in the Mediterranean" Held in TRNC

Within the scope of the International Symposium on Security, Stability and Cooperation in the Mediterranean, organized in collaboration with the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (ORSAM), the Eastern Mediterranean, Türkiye's geopolitics, and the role of the TRNC in the Eastern Mediterranean were discussed.

The symposium hosted by Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBU) Northern Cyprus Campus between 13-14 October 2022; TRNC President Ersin Tatar, TRNC Republican Assembly President Zorlu Töre, ASBU Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Kazım Arıcan, Chairman of the TRNC Higher Education Planning, Supervision, Accreditation and Coordination Board Prof. Dr. Turgay Avcı, Rector of ASBU Northern Cyprus Prof. Dr. Enver Arpa, ORSAM President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Uysal and TİKA Nicosia Coordinator Havva Pınar Özcan Küçükçavuş.

Vice President of Republic of Türkiye, Fuat Oktay also participated in the symposium online.

Within the scope of the symposium, regional studies, problems and solution suggestions, especially possible cooperation opportunities for the security and stability of the region in the Mediterranean and Cyprus Island were discussed.
