Organized by TİKA and the Justice Academy of Türkiye, the “Judicial Services Training Program” has been completed.

As part of the “Judicial Services Training Program,” organized by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Justice Academy of Türkiye, the training program on “Fight against Crimes Associated with Drug or Stimulant Use” organized for judges and prosecutors from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, Montenegro, and the Republic of Serbia has been completed.

Dr. Sc. Arben Murtezić, Director of Centre for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Tomislav Čavić, Director of Centre for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training of Republika Srpska; Ljiljana Lakić, Chairperson of the Centre for the Training of Judges and Prosecutors of Montenegro; and Nenad Vujić, Director of the Judicial Academy of the Republic of Serbia; as well as a delegation of 29 people, including specially-authorized chief prosecutors, academics, judges, and prosecutors from these countries, participated in the training program on “Fight against Crimes Associated with Drug or Stimulant Use” organized by TİKA and the Justice Academy of Türkiye from October 17 to 21.

Dr. Rahman Nurdun, TİKA’s Vice President, who also participated in the program, said, “It is of great importance that these training programs enable the sharing of experience. No country can win the fight against Crimes Associated with Drug or Stimulant Use alone. Therefore, international cooperation is essential. This is a wonderful opportunity to exchange experiences. In this context, we have organized nearly 120 programs, in which 2250 judges and prosecutors have been trained, in cooperation with the Justice Academy of Türkiye. I would like to once again express my gratitude to the team of the Justice Academy of Türkiye, especially to the judges and prosecutors who actively participated in all these programs and shared their experiences.”

Muhittin Özdemir, Head of the Justice Academy of Türkiye, said, “Joint training programs are important for building a common judicial culture and solving legal and judicial problems.”

After the training programs, memorandums of understanding were signed between the Justice Academy of Türkiye and the Centre for the Training of Judges and Prosecutors of Montenegro, and between the Justice Academy of Türkiye and the Judicial Academy of the Republic of Serbia for the training of judges, prosecutors, and prospective/assistant judges and prosecutors.
