05 January 2023TİKA Supports the Education Infrastructure of Pakistan
Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) supported the infrastructure of the School of Excellence in Pakistan.
In the School of Excellence, which is located in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, and has nearly 700 students, the multi-purpose laboratory needed for chemistry, biology, and physics classes, as well as the sports and leisure facilities in the complex, was renovated.
The opening ceremony held for the renovated laboratory and sports and leisure facilities was attended by Prof. Mehmet Paçacı, the Republic of Türkiye’s Ambassador to Islamabad; Muhsin Balcı, TİKA’s Coordinator in Islamabad; Javid Gillani, Executive Director of Muslim Hands; representatives of institutions in Türkiye and Pakistan; the administrators and students of the school; and many other guests.
Ambassador Paçacı noted that Pakistan and Türkiye have long-lasting relations, that TİKA and other Turkish institutions continue their assistance activities in every area in Pakistan, and that the projects implemented in cooperation with Muslim Hands are a good example.
Muhsin Balcı, TİKA’s Coordinator in Islamabad, stated that the relations between Türkiye and Pakistan have developed in every field, and that TİKA’s assistance and development activities in Pakistan have a major place in these bilateral relations.
Since 2010, TİKA has implemented more than 600 projects in many fields, including education, health, culture, agriculture, technology, water, and sanitation, through its two offices in Islamabad and Karachi in Pakistan. The Agency continues to strengthen the bridges of friendship between itself and Pakistan through new projects.
